4. Gain knowledge of difference in switchgear designs and their ratings

5. Understand how to plan HV work and the steps necessary to create safe work zones

6. Practice creating switching schedules for the safe operation and work on HV systems and use of other electrical safety documentation

7. Understand the techniques for cable identification, making safe at the point of work and cable testing

8. Have practical switching experience on a range of different HV equipment

9. Have practical experience identifying and making safe cables at the point of work by spiking cables and issuing safety documents
