Part 1
Objectives
The design of the 10-day programme will give an enhanced understanding of the design, construction and operating principles of Energy Recovery and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) fuel sources such as municipal waste and Biomass will be considered.

Entry Requirements
Learners should have a basic understanding of Energy from Waste (EfW) plant operations, terminology, and plant layout and geography.
A minimum of 12 months’ operational experience within an EfW facility is recommended. Alternatively, learners may have successfully completed an Introduction to Energy Recovery Facility Operations course, evidenced by a Certificate of Attendance.
Learners should have sufficient operational knowledge and experience to understand and apply the principles covered throughout the course.
Assessment
A formal assessment, comprising a 25-question multiple-choice paper, will be conducted at the end of each module. Successful completion of all assessments is required to obtain a certificate.
