Part 1
Objectives
This training programme is designed to provide operational and technical personnel with a working knowledge and practical understanding of the design, construction, and operational principles of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The programme establishes the fundamental knowledge required to understand the operation of a CCGT plant and serves as the foundation for Part 2, which explores the design, operation and performance of the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), steam cycle and the production of superheated steam in greater depth.
For a comprehensive understanding of Combined Cycle Power Plant operation, learners are required to complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the programme.

Entry Requirements
Entrants should have a basic understanding of plant operations, terminology, and plant geography. A minimum of 12 months' operational experience is recommended, or successful completion of the Introduction to Combined Cycle Power Plant Operator course, evidenced by a Certificate of Attendance.
Please note that Combined Cycle Power Plant Operation is delivered across Part 1 and Part 2. To gain a comprehensive understanding of Combined Cycle Power Plant operation and be awarded the full Certificate of Attendance, learners are required to successfully complete both Parts.
Assessment
Formal assessment on the last day of the course
consisting of one 100 question multi-choice paper.
