Meet the Team: Jade Simpson

Jade Simpson came on board in September 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in Business Development, Freight, Logistics, and Customer Service. She now plays a pivotal role in managing our open course schedule, which involves generating demand for the training courses we offer at our facility.

Background:

Upon completing Secondary school, Jade embarked on a three-year beauty course at Nottingham College. Following her studies, she dove into the workforce, spending five years at Superdrug. Subsequently, Jade took on the role of Transport Administrator at a kitchen appliance company, overseeing a fleet of over 100 HGVs.

Jade reflects, "After that position, I sought something more challenging, with greater depth and responsibility. That's when I began my tenure as a Business Development Manager for a Courier Service. Collaborating closely with the Director made me feel valued." After some time, Jade discovered Power Plant Training and seized the opportunity to apply. She has been content ever since, noting, "I adore my job and everything about it, from the wonderful people I work with to the strong relationships I build with clients, and the flexibility it offers to maintain a home life."

My Role at PPT:

Additionally, she serves as the primary contact for our clients across the UK and internationally. Jade shared, "In a short time, I've significantly expanded my knowledge in Power Generation, from attending Energy from Waste Conferences to visiting our sites for walkthroughs. Such experiences have made it easier to grasp the industry and understand the nuances of different sites." She added, "The ERF conference was particularly enjoyable as it allowed me to engage with industry professionals, delve deeper into Power Generation topics, and hear from esteemed speakers. It was an enlightening few days."

Outside of Work:

Beyond her professional life, Jade's son is an avid football enthusiast, which means her weekends are filled with matches and tournaments. She also has two dogs: Bruce, a Dogue de Bordeaux, and Maggie, a Chug, both of whom enjoy lengthy strolls in the country park. Her preferred genres are true crime dramas and engaging autobiographies.
